Tools › Fandom reader
Read Fandom wikis without the clutter.
Fandom reader shows any wiki on fandom.com as a clean page in the aong.dev look: the article, its infobox and its images. No ads, no autoplay videos, no pop-ups and no trackers.
Shortcut: in any Fandom link, change minecraft.fandom.com to tools.aong.dev/fandom/minecraft and the rest of the link stays the same.
How it works
- Pages
- When you open a page, tools.aong.dev asks Fandom's public wiki API for the article and shows it here, keeping only the text, tables and images. Scripts, ads and tracking from the original page never reach your browser. Pages are kept for a short while so popular ones open faster.
- Images
- Pictures load straight from Fandom's image server (static.wikia.nocookie.net), so Fandom can see that your browser loaded them, as with any image hosted elsewhere.
- Links
- Links to other pages on the same wiki, or on another Fandom wiki, stay in the reader. Links to other sites open the original site. Every page has a link to the original on Fandom.
- Text license
- Wiki text belongs to each wiki's editors and is shared under that wiki's license, usually CC BY-SA 3.0. Each page names its wiki's license and links to the original, where the edit history lists the authors.
- Credits
- The idea and the link layout come from BreezeWiki by Cadence Ember (source, AGPL-3.0), so a BreezeWiki link works here after changing the start. Fandom reader is its own code, written for Cloudflare Workers; no BreezeWiki code is used.
Fandom reader is not affiliated with Fandom, Inc. Only English pages are supported for now.
