File converter
Turn images, audio, video, data files and documents into other formats. Everything happens right here in your browser: your files are never uploaded, and nobody else ever sees them.
0 files
Audio and video use FFmpeg, which downloads once (about 10 MB) the first time you convert one, then stays in your browser's cache.
No files yet. Pick a format for each file once it's added.

What it converts
- Images
- PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP, ICO, SVG and AVIF in; PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP, ICO (with every icon size up to 256px) and PDF out, plus AVIF where your browser can save it. Resize and set the quality in Settings. Several images can become one PDF.
- Video
- MP4, WebM, MKV, MOV, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, TS, 3GP and OGV to MP4, WebM, MKV, MOV, AVI or an animated GIF. An animated GIF can also become an MP4 or WebM.
- Audio
- MP3, WAV, OGG, Opus, FLAC, M4A, AAC, WMA, AIFF and AMR to MP3, WAV, OGG, Opus, FLAC, M4A or AAC. Video files can give their sound track in any of these too.
- Data
- JSON, YAML, TOML, CSV, TSV and XML, each to any of the others. Nested data is flattened to dotted column names in CSV and TSV.
- Documents
- Markdown to an HTML page or plain text, HTML to Markdown or plain text, and plain text to HTML.
- Any file
- Encode as Base64 or a data URI, decode Base64 back to a file, pack into ZIP or GZIP, and unpack ZIP, TAR, GZ and TAR.GZ archives.
Your files stay on your device
This page doesn't send your files anywhere. They are read and converted by your own browser, and the results are saved straight from it. You can even disconnect from the internet once the page (and, for audio and video, the media engine) has loaded.
Big videos take a while and need plenty of memory, because the conversion runs on your computer instead of a server. Audio and video use FFmpeg through ffmpeg.wasm (GPL 2.0 or later). Other parts use fflate, js-yaml, smol-toml, marked, Turndown and gifenc; see their licenses.
